 Objective - Please Read
« Thread Started on Jan 30, 2008, 1:16pm »

The purpose of this board is to discuss your pets, share photos of your pets and talk about general issues concerning the owning of a pet or if you want to own one.

You may discuss health problems your pet is experiencing, but DO NOT give or request medical advice! If your pet is experiencing a medical problem that requires professional care, consult a qualified professional whose credentials you can verify. Even if you are a qualified professional, do not give out any medical advice here.

I really love all animals, but, especially dogs & cats! I've had both throughout my life, but, currently have no pets. I lost my last dog, Charlie, to cancer. He was the most beautiful & loving yellow lab & rottweiler mix. It's heartbreaking to lose any pet you love, for any reason, & that's why I no longer have pets. I do feed the neighborhood birds & squirrels, & I love them all so much. I've even gotten the baby squirrels to the point where they eat peanuts from my hand while they're climbing up my leg! They each have their own personalities, & they can be quite affectionate too. [image] They love to eat sunflower seeds & peanuts in the shell. ;D You can often judge a person's character by how they treat animals. ;)

my birds are 2 parakeets and 1 beautiful smart cockatiel. he talks : ) loves his head scratched, and is just so pretty with his orange cheeks that i know he was created by a God with a sense of humor, or a fondness for cosmetics ;D i have never posted on a site like this, so hopefully i am always going to be 'proper' . greetings to all : )

Lovely to have you canadiangirl! As long as people are generally nice to each other (debate is fine - being mean is not) and nobody posts any porn, I'm happy. :) Bring some friends! This place has gotten boring since I had to shut it down for so long while I was away (I guess everyone left then and didn't come back).

I used to have a cockatiel, too. She was such a sweet birdie. She loved the hair dryer when I aimed it at her. She'd hang upsidedown from her perch, spread her wings out and poofed out her feathers like they do when they're happy. Now I have a great slobbery beast of a dog. He's an Akita and learning how to be a cadaver dog. He's got a great nose for dead things (probably because he loves the icky smell of dead things) but so far he gets too easily distracted by other people or other dogs. He's just started the training so all things considered he's doing well.
