 Political Humor
« Thread Started on Jan 5, 2008, 10:53pm »

This is the one area where I do allow a little leeway in what sort of humor is posted. Politics is a blood sport, and political humor has a long tradition of roasting every politician or would-be politician over a spit. I'm of the opinion that anyone who is or aspires to be a politician recognizes that being savaged in word and imagery is part of the job. However, I will draw the line at posts that are obviously intended to offend rather than good natured poking fun.

This is one thread that I will do my best to avoid. The only candidate that I like seems to be the butt of many people's jokes.

I know what you mean. This time around I'm just not all that thrilled with anyone. But even though I don't have a primary candidate that I'm the least bit passionate about I still seem to get caught up in all the primary debate whirlwind. The primary season has really just started heating up and I'm already getting fed up with it. This time I'm probably going to spend more time just working on getting out the vote. I'm always amazed at what a dismal percentage of Americans bother to vote at all.

I'm with you Spring.....and for the same reason, especially 'the candidate' that I like also! Probably the same one! ;)

Plus I'm very passionate about who I want for my next Prez since 9/11/01. My BP only 'thinks' it goes through the roof over ans....since 9/11/01 and idiot politicians denying what happened on that day, I can't allow myself to be pulled into this discussion..it ain't a pretty sight....Nope not gonna do it! LOL

Toodles ya'll! :-*
